Lynx Presents: Kel Spencer "The Hip Hop Moses"

The self proclaimed "Best Rapper you have never heard of", Brooklyn born and bred Kel Spencer, is a man about his business and the business- music industry that is; Boasting song writing credit for such artists as Nick Cannon, Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins, and Big Willie Will Smith. American Music Award winning, he has also been featured on the soundtrack to the blockbuster "Wild Wild West". More than Music Kel is a community activist, spearheading projects such as Pens of Power which promotes literacy amongst youths, and hosts afterschool programs in his hometown of Brooklyn, NY.

Formerly a football standout at Canarie H.S. while at the historic Morgan State Univ Kel realized that his calling was not in sports, or business management, but in Cceative writing- which turned into a love and penchant for making hit songs. Explained in his own words Spencer felt that, "GOD blessed me with more than one gift and I think I can help a greater cause by doing the music thang". And that he has done. With performances in over 75 showcases, he has been published on HipHopgame.com, Smack DVD, XXL Magazine, Entertainment Weekly Billboard, VIBE, and ESPN to name a few.

Kel Spencer feels that there is a need in music for inspiration in order for listeners to embrace their ambitions and lift themselves above whatever tribulation is existent in their lives. Hopefully his forthcoming debut, "One Way" will fill that void. In addition to being a solo artist, he is making excecutive moves as well seeking distribution for his Co- chaired label 3rd Power Music Group. With mixtape after mixtape including, The Streets Know That, the EP, Who is Kel Spencer? The Mixtape; his catalog is very strong and his live performance is even stronger..

I had the pleasure of seeing this brother perform and he definitely gets my vote as a serious artist, not just rapper; He is a force to be reckon with, as well as a voice worthy of being heard, with work that must be supported. True Hip Hop fans, rather connoisseurs of music alike will not be disappointed with his product and brand. Currently he has a duet wit MC Lyte in Stores, "Salon Stories".

Promising he is, and a promise not to be broken- Kel Spencer is rated next by me. If u do not believe have a look for yourself and I dare you to disagree.

INTRODUCING - JIMMY SCREECH
LxEnts first came across Jimmy Screech at a performance a few years back at Yoyo - Notting Hill Arts club and was immediately impressed with the calibre of tracks, performance, swagger and good vibrations and atmosphere brought to the set as a whole. We were also pleased to finally experience an artist who is aware of their surroundings enough to be heard clearly over their music without shouting, straining or battling against the music. Such a breath of fresh air...Fast foward to The Enterprise on Tuesday 4th August and what do you know? Nothings changed! In fact, if anything - he's even better than we remembered! A very rare occurance, wethinks!

LxEnts are never ones to start pigeon-holing and labelling an artists music genre because music nowadays cannot be so easily classified but what we WILL say is that the amount of styles presented to us during the set were so diverse that if you were not shaking a leg by the end then you came to the wrong show!

LxEnts are predicting Jimmy Screech as one to watch due to tracks like:

(An LxEnt fav!)

Don't say we didn't call it...JIMMY SCREECH - ONE TO WATCH!

TAHMAC

"Born and raised in Brooklyn New York Tah Mac began his career in the mid 90’s as a co-producer, educating himself on how to program drums on a song, and later accomplishing the mastery of learning to finish a record. He expressed his talent and experience in production as early as age 15, working with a team of well-known hiphop leaders of our time, and learned to create his own signature sound. Here are 2 tracks from Tahmac's debut album 'Welcome To Tahland'.

Having cut his teeth with the legendary hip hop outfit, The Def Squad featuring Erick Sermon, Keith Murray, Redman, Jamal, Malik and Da Rockwilder, Tah Mac produced some of the most phenomenal tracks of all time, helping build the Def Squad brand into a staple fixture in hip hop culture.

With a decade of experience under his belt, Tah knows how to create the very best music with top quality artists. Not one to be pigeon holed, Tahmac has worked with diverse array of talent including Jo Jo, Javine, Ciara, Onyx, Leona Lewis, Redman, Aretha Franklin and The Charlatans. Often describing his music as a ‘global sound’, Tah has finally crafted a sound that is uniquely his own."
