The American Music Awards Will take place at the Nokia Theatre in LA on November 22
Special Guests include: Kelly Clarkson, Eminem, Jennifer Lopez, Black Eyed Peas, ALicia Keys and Jay Z, and Lady Gaga. Entertainment Weekly says that there are more performers to be announced next week.
Rapper Common will join famed author/poet Maya Angelou and radio personality Tom Joyner this Saturday (November 7) in a panel discussion about the state of the African-American community. The “Saving The Race: The Human Race” panel will deal with how African-American’s can begin the process of overcoming feelings of black inferiority, negative images and self destructive behavior. “Saving The Race” will take place at Riverside Church (between 120th & 122nd Street) in Morningside Heights. The New Boyz will hit the road with Chris Brown in promotion of their forthcoming album, Skinny Jeans and A Mic. The tour is slated for 18 cities in North America:

The Game's new album R.E.D. has been postponed. Originally due Dec 8th, no new date has been set yet. The official single,”Big Money” surfaced on Thursday (October 29) and is produced by Cool & Dre, the production duo responsible for “Hate It or Love It,” the second single on Game’s 2005 debut The Documentary, and four tracks on Game’s last LP, L.A.X. Other confirmed contributors to the album include Chris Brown, Akon, Polow Da Don, and Jim Jonsin, who produced the song “Better Days,” which was also released last week. The Game said that in preparation for the new album he will release four new muixtapes: R.E.D. October, hosted by DJ Drama as part of his popular Gangsta Grillz series; Red Tape, hosted by Game’s tour DJ, Miami-based DJ Krys Stylez; Paint The Town RED, hosted by Nu Jerzey Devil; and The Redprint, hosted by DJ Haze.
