It has been said alot that the rap game is like Wrestling- a bunch of actors. I remember a while back when the Source did a Hip Hop in prison segment, and I believe XXL followed up with one as well. All of a sudden it seems as though art is imitating life, or are these rappers going through extreme lengths to actually live out their rhymes. Well known are the stories of Remy Ma, Slick Rick, Chi Ali, Mysonne, Shyne, Tupac, Pimp C, T.I., Beanie Sigel, Styles P,Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, Turk, and C-Murder.
The latest is Lil Boosie who just received 4 years instead of the two he was promised after violating house arrest all to go to the BET Awards....SHAME....and now we have members of the Wu Tang Allah Mathmatics and Streetlife arrested on the tour bus with drugs, alledgedly attempting to sell them wherever they were aheaded. Lil wayne is facing jail time, B.G. was just arraigned on drug posession.
Times have changed to say the least and I guess its nature- like they say you can take a person out of a certain element, but not the element out of the person.
