Jay Sean confirmed last night during an interview with Ace & Vis, backstage at the MOBO's, that he is officially been signed to Cash Money Records, which makes him label buddies with none other than Lil Wheezy!
This incredible deal means that Cash Money Records will license Jay Sean's most recent Album 'My Own Way', for release stateside and all future albums will be released via Cash Money. Lil Wheezy will also feature on a remix of Jay's forthcoming single 'Tonight' and this new version of the track will appear on a new repackaged version of 'My Own Way', due for release on Dec 1st.
As much as we respect that due to the lack of backing and support in the UK, most artists have no choice but to sign over-seas, if the opportunity is presented, is this really the way forward? Shouldn't we be concentrating on building our own multi-million pound empires?
