Day 26. Must admit LxEnts were haps when we heard they were coming! For a manufactured (They were put together via Diddy's latest 'Making The Band' series) boy band, they're not half bad! So we made a few calls and made it happen!
We get to the 02 Arena early evening and are greeted by what looks like an entire school for girls day out. There they were, patiently waiting for those magic doors to buss open and let them in!! We prayed that wasn't our queue. We take a walk inside and there are...more queues...sprouting from everywhere!

Luckily, we found the right queue, got our tickets, went for a couple of drinks and a munch, found our seat on the King's row, looked at our watch, at the stage, at our watch again, back to the stage (we see Milktray - who? the host for the night - that's all you need to know about that one) and then around the auditorium and...we, for a moment, contemplated that we might just be in the wrong venue. It looked like a under 18's rave (apart from when the old skool garage came on, the kids sat down, LxEnts stood up and bust some serious skanking!). What we are, also, trying to get at is the fact that we had passed many, many hours, thinking we may even be missing the show whilst chowing down on tempura prawns, and they HADN'T EVEN STARTED!

...the moment we have been waiting for is here

The crowd go wild but more a release of high-pitched, screechy bursts of relief that they have decided to come on at all, we feel! First track, 'Come With Me' (this is a big tune)...doesn't sound as hot with an extra dose of feedback and poor sound quality. For LxEnts it was kinda down hill from there. They seemed out of their depth, had no space awareness with regards to the feedback points of the stage, voice projection, at times, needed control as some sang sooooo loud all you could hear was distortion and they resorted to one of the oldest and tackiest tricks in the book to prematurely make up for their 'blink and you'll miss us' excuse for a show!'. It involved humping the floor (Robert) naked torso's (Willie & Que) and bottled water (Que)...dang!

Don't get me wrong, there were moments in the show where they just 'worked'. The choreographed numbers were tight and the boys can sannng! but it wasn't enough and they just weren't ready for LDN! They played out with 'Exclusive' (thought that was the 'encore, do you want more?' track - OH, my bad! there IS NO encore), said a few hurried thanks and left!...Can anyone say 'BOO' - not in the positively portrayed 'Ms Dynamite' way...?
Don't even get me started on the 'meet and greet' organised for after the event for 'meet and greet' ticket holders. Ummm we left VIP, which is where it was due to take place, around 12 and we bet the only thing Day 26 were probably 'greeting' was their paycheck!
