Undoubtedlty Young Money and Lloyd have a hit on their hand with "bedrock"; the cohesion, the chemistry was all evident. With that comes the rumor and speculation- is Lloyd signed to Young Money or not. That has been on a lot of peoples mind, I cant lie I even considered it. Add to the fact that we havent seen any Murder Inc. influence on Lloyd's appearances, and I do remember an interview on the radio this year where Irv Gotti said Lloyd does his own thing. But- as we know how the music industry goes, and last time I checked Universal signs the Murder Inc checks- thats a connection with Young Money/ Cash Money right there. Well to get the facts straight from the horses mouth, Lloyd addressed it himself:
"Ah man. That's easy. I'm just a good friend to Wayne and Baby," Lloyd revealed in an interview. "I respect them. I respect their grind. I respect their minds. So they brought me in to be designating; to be the [designated hitter]. They wanted a hit and they brought me in. We came up with something that was dope in 'Bed Rock.' We'll be performing it for the first few times coming up. We're just doing us. It's good to be around a crew of talented young brothers."
He also addressed rumors of him leaving Murder Inc. for Young Money. "I think that's the question on everyone's mind," Lloyd said about the possibility of signing to Young Money. "No, I wasn't offered a deal, uhm, if anything I think about it because I'm big fans of their work and we all good friends. We've worked [together on songs] a lot in the past, you know, we broke bread together and I think a lot of fans would probably want to see that happen. I just wanna win, I just wanna be successful. I think wherever I go, I'm gonna be successful."
