Poor MySpace :(. Not content with becoming the most popular social networking site, period, Facebook are now going ten better with the release of the 'Facebook Phone'.
Mobile phone company, 3, are in the process of releasing the INQ1 (pronounced INC 1), a new handset which will integrate Facebook with all the traditional mobile functions and settings, hopefully in time for Chrimbo. It's targeted at the proportion of society that find 'smartphones' too pricey and just require a simple handset which enables them to access facebook, surf the web and access emails efficently at the touch of a button. For all the 'banned from facebook at work' massive, this is one is most definately for you!
The INQ1 handset will come free with an 18 month contract starting at just £15 a month which will include unlimited facebook access, skype calls, access to Windows MSN Live Messenger, up to 1GB a month web access, unlimited texts, unlimited email, unlimited calls to other 3 users and 75 free minutes to all other networks. £5 extra will take the 75 mins up to 200 mins a month. For all you pay as you go users, the handset comes in at a very reasonably priced £79.99 and you will only be required to top up a minimum of £5 a month to enable internet access. This sounds almost too good to be true, huh?
Just how far will this facebook phenonenon go? Worried much?
Thoughts???
