Pioneering actress/singer Miss Lena Horne died yesterday at the age of 9 years old. Best known as the first African American woman to sign a major motion picture contract, Miss Horne opened the door for Black Hollywood, and paved the way for the great actors and actresses we see today. talented to say the least, beautiful beyond measure, and never to be forgotten. The epitome of faboulous of stardom, of celebrity; that which our sisters, mothers, aunts, and cousins dreamed of when playing dress up....REST IN PEACE....
